Internet Safety

The internet provides lots of cool learning opportunities for both kids and adults. It is important for families to discuss internet safety.

Would You Like to Swing on a Star?

Students are always interested in learning more about the solar system.

The NASA Kid's Club has lots of activities for you to try.

The picture dictionary helps you to identify important terms by using pictures. Clicking on the picture gives you a definition and example of how to use the word in a sentence.

Scientists need to have good observation skills. Play It's Not The Same to sharpen your skills by clicking on the objects that are different in the two pictures.

If that game seems easy, return to Command Central to find more challenging activities.

The purpose of the activities is to help you learn more about our solar system. There are lots of different things to try so click on a few links to see where they take you.

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!

Dr. Seuss was born on March 2, 1904 in Springfield, Massachusetts. His real name was Theodor Seuss Geisel. He worked in advertising and as a cartoonist for newspapers before beginning his career as an author and illustrator of children's books.

I've enjoyed many Dr Seuss books, but my favorite is The Lorax. I enjoy this story because it delivers an important message about protecting the environment in a way that incorporates the rhyming pattens and nonsense words that characterize Dr Seuss' style of writing.
Visit Seussville to interact with all things "seussical." There are lots of games and activities to try. You need to choose if your computer is high bandwidth or low bandwidth to enter the site. You can also turn the music off if you work better without noise.
I hope you have "lots of good fun that is funny."
