I promised my students that I would post this link on my blog so you can check it out! Ms. Kate showed it to me and now I'm sharing it with you.
It is called A Walk in the Woods. You can listen to the narrator and read along. Clink on the underlined text to take you to the story via a link.
Remember that some sections of the story have nature notes. The nature notes give you more detailed information about part of the story. Once you close the nature notes, you return to where you left off in the story. I learned that cinnamon comes from the bark of a shrub!
I hope some of you take the time to look at the story. It is a great way to learn the names for some of the things we will be seeing on our trip.
Hope you "lichen" the story as much as I do. If you read the story, you will get my joke.
